Derby Supply Chain Solutions teams up with DBS>Interactive

What Happened

Safe Haven Animal Rescue Program “SHARP” is a rescue group in Cleveland, TN, whose mission is “To promote the well-being of domestic animals in Polk County, Tennessee by fostering responsible animal ownership, investigating allegations of animal neglect and abuse, and acting in the best interests of neglected and abused animals.” The organization is close to the hearts of Derby Supply Chain Solutions president Diana Herold, and their site manager, Shari Kepsel, who is a volunteer and board member with SHARP. Diana approached the CEO of DBS>Interactive, Cyndi Masters, to team together with Derby to provide the group with a beautiful, modern and functional website to help them in their efforts.

DBS>Interactive designed and developed a new website for SHARP. Site visitors can now browse through the database of adorable adoptable dogs in hopes of finding their perfect match, and give a deserving pet a new forever home. They can also access applications and other information about volunteering and fostering to further support this group in their goals.

Derby Supply Chain Solutions is headquartered in Louisville, KY and has a facility located in Cleveland, TN.

DBS>Interactive is an interactive agency with headquarters in Louisville, KY, with offices in Cincinnati and Los Angeles.

Diana Herold tells us, “At Derby it is important to us that we give back and be involved in many different ways with the communities that support us every day. Our site manager in Cleveland, TN, Shari Kepsel, is very devoted to SHARP and their mission of rescuing dogs and finding them safe, loving homes. The website was a piece of the puzzle SHARP needed for better recognition and to improve their adoption process, but simply wasn’t feasible in their budget for this year. It is very rewarding to be able to help SHARP move forward with their mission, but also to support Shari in a cause so near and dear to her heart. A special thanks to DBS>Interactive for co-funding the website. When I called the President and CEO of DBS>Interactive, Cyndi Masters, to discuss the project, she immediately joined in to help launch the website. I’m looking forward to being able to see all the success stories as they are posted on the new SHARP website!”

Offering up her take on the collaboration, DBS>Interactive President and CEO, Cyndi Masters said, It has always been very important to me to be a good citizen in our community. I am a also big supporter of pet rescue groups on my own, and this project enabled us to be of service for this group in rural Polk County, TN. The capabilities of DBS>Interactive create some real opportunities to do good and work with some great organizations. So to be able to ally with a business leader like Diana, with similar values and commitment to the community, is so rewarding.”

Why It’s So Special

A lot of companies take, but how often do they give back? The partnership between Derby Supply Chain Solutions and DBS>Interactive reveals a deep camaraderie and understanding about the communities in which they live and serve. Rarely do the value systems of two companies align in such a manner where they can give back to such a notable cause. Both Derby Supply Chain Solutions and DBS>Interactive were honored to participate in such a worthwhile endeavor and are both elated to see the transformation of the lives of the animals adopted, and those of the kind souls doing the adopting.

Many of the staff at DBS who worked on the site reported that is was very hard to resist trying to adopt the pets that they “got to know” through working on the new site!

Each company contributed 50% of the cost to give SHARP’s website legs. And although both Derby Supply Chain Solutions and DBS>Interactive are companies in separate industries, they are united by their shared core values.

Drum roll, please: check out SHARP’s awesome website, and maybe even adopt a new friend!
