Ryan McDermott

Ryan joined Derby in 2012 as a Helpdesk Intern, quickly gaining a comprehensive understanding of the company’s WMS and ERP systems. Over the years, he applied his expertise to improve internal processes and lead successful systems integrations for onboarding new customers. 

Promoted to the executive team as Director of Project Management in 2021, Ryan played a key role in connecting Operations, IT, and Project Management to streamline efficiencies across the company. In 2023, Ryan transitioned into the role of Director of Operations, where he continues to leverage his background in project management and logistics to optimize Derby’s 3PL services. 

Ryan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Computer Information Systems from the University of Louisville. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially during summers at the lake and UofL football season.
