Derby Sales Manager Attends BOOST Event

Chattanooga Chamber LogoDerby sales manager, Fred Koeck recently participated in an event held by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce. The event was the annual BOOST summit, which is an acronym for Business Owners’ Opportunity for Success Today. The event took place at the Volkswagen Group of America Academy Conference Center on January 26, 2012. The BOOST summit assists businesses in growing and thriving by learning best practices from other companies. There were over 130 individuals representing 115 organizations in attendance. The structure was a question and response format which featured panelists from 6 different organizations. The group was asked general questions, with each given an opportunity to answer. Many topics were covered and some of the key questions that were discussed are listed below.
  • What should companies consider when promoting their products and services to your company?
  • Many people are thinking about expanding or starting a business. What are some hurdles or obstacles that these businesses should be aware of?
  • Why do you think it is important for a business to be involved in the community?
  • If you have only one piece of advice to give to another business, what would that be?
The event was beneficial for all who attended, and provided valuable insights from the panel. Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce’s programs and services help individual businesses succeed, strengthen the area's commercial vitality and create a more prosperous community.
