With Louisville, Kentucky being a major hub for logistic and supply chain activities, it would seem that having a Louisville Roundtable for the Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) would be a natural fit. Unfortunately, the previous Louisville Roundtable has been inactive for at least 5 years. Now Derby Supply Chain Solutions has taken the lead to restart the roundtable.
About The CSCMP
Founded in 1963, the
Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) is the preeminent worldwide professional association dedicated to the advancement and dissemination of research and knowledge on supply chain management. With over 8,500 members representing nearly all industry sectors, government, and academia from 67 countries, CSCMP members are the leading practitioners and authorities in the fields of logistics and supply chain management.
The organization is led by an elected group of global officers with its headquarters located in Lombard, Illinois, USA.
CSCMP Roundtables provide a forum to both members and potential members in local supply chain communities to meet regularly for continuing education, professional development, and networking opportunities.
Who’s Involved
CSCMP has developed a thorough set of guidelines and policies to manage each roundtable location. The first step is the formation of a Board of Directors for each roundtable.
