Derby Supply Chain Solutions Celebrates 40 Years in Business

 

Derby Supply Chain Solutions is proud to celebrate our 40th anniversary in 2017.

Our company was founded in 1977 as Derby Packaging in Louisville, KY, providing fabrication and assembly services to a major appliance manufacturer. Over the past 40 years, the company has grown to become a regional 3PL with locations in 8 states in the eastern U.S.  In 2010, we became Derby Supply Chain Solutions to better encompass the added services we provide. As Derby Supply Chain Solutions, we now provide value added services such as warehousing and distribution, packaging, assembly, and fulfillment.

Acquired by Hyde Park Holdings in 2000, Derby Supply Chain Solutions has experienced year over year revenue growth through organic growth of longtime customers, addition of new customers, and through strategic acquisitions.  The company acquired Resource Group, Inc in Allentown, PA in 2005.  This acquisition provided customer diversification into the food and aftermarket truck parts industries.  Additional acquisitions in 2014 and 2015 expanded the company portfolio adding locations in Maine and Iowa.  In 2014, NEPW Logistics was added under the Derby Holdings umbrella of companies, followed by the 2015 Derby Supply Chain purchase of Network Imaging Solutions (NIS) with headquarters in Davenport, IA.

With over 2 million square feet under roof, our company now has a presence in Kentucky, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Georgia, and Maine.  Our diverse customer base includes companies in Major Appliances, Food and Beverage, Paper Products, Medical Products, Industrial Lighting, Building Products, and Commercial Trucking.
