Derby Supply Chain Solutions Achieves FSSC Certification

Derby Supply Chain Solutions is making big strides to enhance GFSI compliance. In June 2017, Derby SCS’ Allentown location was the first Derby SCS location to obtain and maintain a FSSC 22000 certification. The Allentown location is going to use this certificate along with the FSSC/GSFI methodology to expand on its co-packing core competencies. As one of the first co-packers in north east America to achieve this certification, Derby management believes that this will give the company an advantage over other co-packing competitors by augmenting our primary food packaging and other food grade capabilities.

FSSC 22000 is a Food Safety System Certification with an ISO basis. FSSC is strictly matched to GFSI schemes and new FSMA law. Derby believes that FSSC brings food safety awareness across the organization. From processes to paperwork, FSSC 22000 is helping Derby SCS build upon its previous experience to achieve higher standards.
